On June 10, Indian microblogging app Koo announced that the Govt of Nigeria has set up an official account on the platform. Koo co-founder and CEO Aprameya Radhakrishna seized the opportunity to pave its way into the African country.
Shortly after the ban Radhakrishna tweeted that Koo is available in Nigeria and they were working to add local languages on the platform. Less than a week after Nigeria government indefinitely banned Twitter, it joined Twitter’s India-rival Koo App.
