Nigerian doctors have begun their second strike of the year over pay and working conditions amid the spread of the coronavirus. Dr Aliyu Sokomba, President of National Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) says around 16-thousand doctors have downed tools. Nigeria has a total of 55-thousand-160 confirmed coronavirus infections and one-thousand-and-61 deaths. Minister of Labour, Chris Ngige has called on the doctors to suspend the strike. He will meet with the union management to discuss an amicable solution.
